Parishtown clerks Coronvirus Information Sheet
The Parish Council are assisting and have secured funding to allow the community resilience group to function in all ways they see fit. . The scheme is not run by the Parish Council but is being co-ordinated by Piers Blaikie whose email address is as follows email@example.com. Piers can also be contacted on 01508 530482 and Gary Mulhall who can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org
All parishioners should have received a leaflet from the coordinators containing valuable information of the scheme and how you can access help should you need it.
The Parish Clerk is working from home so will not be in the Parish until after the lock down is over and the virus is contained. He is on email at email@example.com for general enquiries around the parish but not for assistance with anything the resilience group is doing.
Finally Government advice is if you do not need to go out stay at home the resilience group are there to help you

As many of you will already be aware, this is the time of year when we consult our residents and businesses on our budget priorities for the next financial year.
Your views and those in your Parish are invaluable to us and we would very much appreciate your responses to the six questions asked on the survey which can be found on the link below. If you are able to share with those in your Parish then we would be grateful.

BT has announced that it will be removing the red telephone box from the corner of Hall Lane and The Green. They have stated that it is not cost effective for them to maintain, due to the fact that not a single call had been placed in the previous 12 months.
The Parish Council are now moving to Zoom Meetings and any Parishioners that wish to attend or have an item for the Meeting must email the clerk with their request 7 days before the meetings. All Dates are shown on the Agenda page on the website.

The Parish Council recently held an emergency meeting as detailed by Norfolk ALC and instigated an emergency delegation scheme to allow the Parish Council to work normally but be in contact with each other via Telephone and email.
Once we have more information we will update but please be advised The Village Hall is locked down meaning The Parish Office is closed also during the pandemic. Consequently the Clerk is working from home for the foreseeable future and can only be contacted by email on firstname.lastname@example.org

Becoming a Parish Councillor
Piers Blaikie has joined Wacton Parish Council but we still have two vacancies for Parish Councillors at present and if you feel that you would like to undertake this valuable role please see the link below regarding a new councillor (full training will be given) please contact The Clerk and he will advise you on the role and what the role entails.
